The Earth spins around the Sun at 67k mph, which means that in my lifetime, I've traveled a relative distance of 13.4b miles, give or take a few thousand. It would take 20 hours moving at the speed of light to cover that distance, approximately 145 times the distance between the Sun and Earth.
That we have any control over our lives is an illusion. But, we can feel the light traveling from lifetimes away, a testament to the wonder of our existence. We are all stardust, appreciating the warmth from whence we came.

The benefits of expressing viewpoints under anonymity are vast. Any idea can be tested without fear. A thought experiment may be taken literally or misunderstood, but it will not linger with a name. However, I am not anonymous; I am me. With that understanding, I will keep my thoughts solely accountable to myself, wholly unbridled from being anything more or less.
This is not a diary; here, I instead intend to construct a map of my thoughts so they may be recorded, followed, critiqued, and experienced. I'm looking for connections, jumping from one road to the next, holding a destination in mind yet never envisioning the end. My hope is that it inspires and provokes. My hope is that I can learn more about myself from what others may find in me.
Also, I particularly enjoy random conversation topics with random people. Do feel free...
Down time…
Forty-five minutes to kill; the best time to wrestle with introspection is down time. Limited, but enough to push and idea. It’s strange that I seem to be so successful when so many others around me are not. The more I reflect, the more I realize that I’m not afraid to take what I want. Maybe I am greedy, sir. But my greed has built a life that none other can rival. And it’s not that I’m fearless or reckless. I certainly can have doubts, but I live in spite of my fears, not through them. It’s not a game anymore. It’s what I it to be. I’m free to build my own life. Attention to detail, my dear.
Rules are for those who lack vision and responsibility. Breaking the rules isn’t a crime, it’s a crime to be bounded by anything but our honest desires. Jesus, the founding fathers, Martin Luther (and MLK), Einstein, all people moving forward, breaking all the rules, celebrated progressives, NOT criminals. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Too many in this nation lack the ability to grasp any of these. We’ve gotten lazy; let the TV tell us what to do, what to buy, where to live, who to live with, when to live with them, what’s all-important. It’s become so much more than capitalism: It’s puppeteering. Turn off your TV’s. Go find yourself; you’ll waste this life without it.
I’ve been answering questions for 23 years. School taught me all the answers, but left out the questions, the unanswered, the vague, the open-to-interpretation. Life is sold as fill-in-the-blank with the “correct” answer. Far too many people’s lives are boxed. Do’s and don’ts come from everywhere but within. It is high time we recognize our own ability to be moral and responsible human beings. It’s not God’s divine intervention or still-silent voice or hand of justice. It’s not the Constitution or the supreme court. It’s each of us.
Currently, I’m living in a gorgeous home from the late 19th century. I have a fireplace. I have a stairwell. I have windows everywhere. Sometimes I have a hard time believing it’s real. I live with a wonderful lover who’s both beautiful and intelligent. She knows me best. I’m happy just being with her. I’d be a fool to be afraid of taking her where she stands. The rules tell me otherwise. The rules were made to hold down the dreamers. I refuse to settle into the bounds of those who lack vision and responsibility, those who fear life.
